NiigataprefecturehasbeendevelopinghumanitarianandeconomicalrelationswiththeregionsofFarEastofRussiaformanyyears. Air service between the prefecture and the far eastern regions of Russia is a very important part of the chain to keep such relations. It has been already decided that the flights from Khabarovsk and Vladivostok to Niigata will be recommenced. The first flights after the break will be operated on December 29 and January 11 accordingly.
Japanese authorities hope for understanding and assistance concerning the support of these flights. In particular, different discounts and bonuses were offered for Russian tourist groups.
For the Russian tour operators there is a special discount for every tourist who arrives to Niigata airport by mentioned flights. The accommodation in the hotel will cost 25 USD; the usual cost varies from 60 to 70 USD. SuchsubsidieswillbevalidtillFebruary, 2011.
Another bonus is a subsidy of 10 thousand yen (1 thousand USD) for the companies organizing group and educational tours. The group must consist of at least 10 people and should be organized during the period from December 29, 2010 till March 26, 2011. Moreover, the discounts of 50% for bus transportation from Niigata airport can be offered as well. Such subsidy will be valid till March 31, 2011.
