Sporadic flight disruptions were reported at El Dorado International Airport in Colombia's capital, Bogota, on 21 February; at least 26 flights were cancelled and dozens delayed. The worst-affected airline was Avianca. The flight schedule disruptions are reportedly a result of heavy fog and recent labour action by air traffic controllers. A dispute between air traffic controllers and the government in recent weeks resulted in severe travel disruptions across the country. On 19 February, a deal to end the impasse was reached; however, it is unclear if air traffic controllers have resumed full duties. Furthermore, the heavy fog may continue to affect air transport operations in the short-term. Clients travelling via air in Colombia are advised to reconfirm all flight(s) with their travel provider or airline prior to departure.
